Cyber Security
How Hackers Actually Hack (Explained Simply)
Forget what you see in Hollywood. Nobody is wearing a hoodie in a dark room, furiously mashing random glowing green keys while shouting "I'm in!" Real cybersecurity breaches are a lot more psychological than you think.
Instead of trying to smash down a digital brick wall, most security breaches happen because someone simply opened a door. The most common weapon? Phishing and Social Engineering. It’s way easier to trick a human into giving up a password than it is to guess an encrypted 256-bit key.
"The weakest link in any security system isn't the code. It’s the human clicking the link."
Once a foot is in the door, they use automated scripts to find unpatched bugs or weak software configurations. Moral of the story? Turn on 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) and stop using your dog's name as your password.
